DICAS:

TIPS
The beautiful @hotelsolardoimperio in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro, is formed by two old mansions from 1875 and 1893, both listed by IPHAN @iphangovbr, which have been restored to become this wonderful hotel. The service from all staff is excellent.
The hotel’s restaurant is one of the best in town, the restaurant Leopoldina #restauranteleopoldina, which is run by Chef Bertrand Materne. In it I had the best shrimp risotto with ginger and orange chips and @nereujr ate a roasted filet mignon in the wine sauce, also delicious. A complimentary afternoon tea is served on Fridays and Saturdays with biscuits, muffins and hot chocolate. Ideal place for a honeymoon or simply spend a spectacular weekend.
ANTI-TIPS:
There was no replacement of the bathroom items in any day. Every day I had to ask in the late afternoon to bring toilet paper and on the last day soap too. The cleanliness of the room was just tidying up the bed and swapping the bathroom towels practically. The bathroom was slowly running out of the water in the drain in the shower, having to turn off the tap so the water would go down and I could finish the shower. On the day of arrival we were warned on the face that we could not stay beyond the normal time in the room as there was already host being awaited on Saturday for room 7. This would be no problem because as we travel a lot we know that check out is at 12: 00. And so it was that 10 minutes before 12:00, we were surprised by an employee opening the bedroom door without even knocking on the door. Fortunately, I’d put the lock on the door and he could not get in despite his insistence anyway. My wife was getting out of the shower. It was very embarrassing. Feeling of being expelled from the hotel. I did not expect any of these problems at a Solar Quality hotel, even more being from the same group as the Tankamana Hotel, which we stayed in October / 2015 and loved it all.
It seems like not all guests are treated the same way.
